Les Pélérins de Lafon-Rochet

The Pilgrims, the second wine of Lafon Rochet, is an easy and affordable wine.

Created from the youngest wines, it can be described as approachable wine, a sort of initiation before the great wine! It can be drunk more rapidly, it is useless to wait decades before tasting. Fresh and simple, yet it benefits from the same treatment as its eldest.

Subtle on the nose with a wonderful finesse in the mouth. Full, long tannins coat the palette. This wine is typical of St. Estephe with excellent length and good ageing potential.

A fresh and complex nose, with predominant notes of red and dark fruit, is bold and powerful in the mouth. Typical of a great St Estephe, the wine is remarkably elegant and rich in tannins, but with a fine suppleness that makes it immediately accessible. The bouquet offers aromas of fruit and spices, with a stylish finish.

An attractive nose with a character that resonates the style of the wine in the mouth, notably of perfectly ripe cabernet. The balance is pleasing, offering silky, tight tannins with a note of acidity on the finish.

A full nose with aromas of ripe fruit that complement the characteristics of the wine in the mouth: freshness and sweetness with pleasing, textured tannins. The wine is supple with a full-bodied mouth-feel that is lifted by a touch of acidity. We find aromas of red berries, cherry liqueur and raspberries. The finish is long and smooth.

On the nose we find oak and fruit, with notes of licorice and superb intensity. The attack affirms this balance, and the wine opens up further in the mid-palette. The finish offers a touch of freshness and acidity.
